Med Surg Telemetry RN – 16-Week Contract

Shift & Schedule

Night shift, 12-hour rotation (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). Choose 36 or 48 hours per week. One weekend shift per week, or two weekend shifts every other weekend. You must work at least one holiday during your contract.

The Role

You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions on an acute care unit. Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously, respond to changes in condition, and administer medications and cardiac drips as ordered. You'll manage pre- and post-operative patients, coordinate care for those with chronic and acute diagnoses (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory), and collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge. Typical patient load is 4–6 patients per shift, depending on acuity. Strong patient and family education, accurate EMR documentation, and adherence to infection control and fall prevention protocols are essential.

Requirements

Active RN license in New York (or compact license as applicable)
AHA BLS and ACLS certification
Minimum 1 year recent Med Surg Telemetry experience
Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
Non-U.S. candidates must have 2 years of U.S. work experience
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed
