Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical-Surgical RN to join the team on a 13-week contract. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, working day shifts in a dynamic acute-care environment.

Schedule & Location

• 3 × 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Aiken, SC
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: June 29, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of assigned patients, including systems review and documentation
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound management and pain control
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory)
• Escalate changes in patient condition promptly
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams on care coordination
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS required
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification with Advanced Physical Skills Training required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Ability to manage diverse patient caseloads with varying acuity levels
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• CMSRN certification
