MRI Technologist — 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility's Radiology Department is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. You'll work Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., performing diagnostic MRI exams across adult, neuro, musculoskeletal, body, and breast imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams per physician orders, selecting appropriate protocols for diagnostic image quality
- Screen patients and staff for MRI safety, identifying contraindications (implants, devices, metal, pregnancy status)
- Prepare and administer contrast media as ordered; monitor for adverse reactions
- Position patients and operate MRI equipment to optimize imaging results
- Maintain strict adherence to MRI safety zones and protocols
- Document exams accurately in imaging systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians on imaging findings
- Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate with service engineers as needed
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification in MRI (ARRT-MR) or ARRT (R) with MRI eligibility
- BLS certification
- Minimum 18 months of MRI experience within the last 3 years
- Experience with adult, neuro, musculoskeletal, body, and breast protocols
- Familiarity with GE MRI scanners preferred
Shift & Logistics
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m. (12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week)
- No call or weekend requirements
- Free parking
- Dark gray/pewter scrubs
