Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Cleveland, OH
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: August 31, 2026
Shift: Three 12-hour rotating shifts (days 7am–7pm and nights 7pm–7am)
About the Role
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg Telemetry unit. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions, managing a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; identify and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
- Manage pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients, including wound care and pain management
- Care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
- Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on plan of care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio (or compact license)
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree or professional certification recognized by the Magnet Association
- 1–2 years Med/Surg or Telemetry experience
