Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract in a busy imaging department. This is a day shift role (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday) with flexibility to float as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Current ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification
• Active state radiologic/nuclear medicine license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
• Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling and radiation safety protocols
• First-time travelers welcome

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders
• Perform a variety of imaging procedures including bone scans, cardiac studies, PET/CT, thyroid scans, HIDA scans, and gastric emptying studies
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment (gamma cameras, PET scanners)
• Calculate and verify radiopharmaceutical dosages to ensure patient safety
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after administration
• Follow all radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
• Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and dose calibrators
• Properly handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials per regulatory guidelines
• Document all procedures and patient records accurately
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians on imaging findings

Patient Population

You'll work with adult and geriatric patients in a clinic and hospital setting.
