OB/GYN Outpatient Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

Join the facility's OB/GYN outpatient department supporting a comprehensive range of women's health services. You'll provide nursing care across antepartum, postpartum, gynecological procedures, maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, and specialty gynecology including oncology.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 × 10-hour days
• Days only: 7:30a–5:00p or 8:30a–5:30p (variable)
• No weekends, no holidays, no call
• 40 guaranteed hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate
• 2+ years outpatient OB/GYN experience
• Experience with conscious sedation and termination services

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN (ADN accepted per facility policy)
• Moderate sedation experience
• OR/PACU experience
• Women's health telephone or L&D background

Clinical Scope

You'll perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate care for patients and families. Duties include maternal and fetal status monitoring, postpartum education (newborn care, breastfeeding support), pre- and post-operative gynecological surgical care, medication administration, patient education, and complication recognition (hemorrhage, infection, preeclampsia). You'll document in the EMR and collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams.
