Travel RN – NICU | Plano, TX | Night Shift

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

This NICU opportunity supports a high-acuity unit caring for critically ill and premature neonates, including micro-preemies. The unit manages a full range of Level II–III cases, with procedures including respiratory support, surgery (excluding cardiac and neurosurgical), central line management, ostomy care, and developmental care for the most fragile patients.

Clinical Scope

• Ventilator management (conventional and high-frequency), CPAP, and NIPPV
• Umbilical and central line care
• Titratable medication drips with precise neonatal dosing
• Thermoregulation, feeding support, and kangaroo care
• Resuscitation and rapid response interventions
• Family education and psychosocial support

Schedule & Float

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• No on-call required
• Float to Nursery possible

Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and NRP required
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience; Level II–III experience required
• Level III–IV experience strongly preferred
• RNC-NIC certification preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
