Cath Lab Tech – RCIS/CVT
Location: Carmichael, CA
Contract Duration: 17 weeks
Start Date: September 15, 2026
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM + required call
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Role
The facility's cath lab performs high-volume invasive cardiac and peripheral interventions. You'll assist physicians during diagnostic angiograms, PCI/stent placements, and peripheral procedures including carotid, A/V graft, and EVAR interventions. On average, the lab handles 8 cases per day across 2 suites.
Your Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist during all cardiac invasive procedures (excluding structural heart) and peripheral cases
- Prepare sterile fields, instruments, and supplies
- Operate hemodynamic monitoring and imaging equipment
- Monitor vital signs and patient status; alert the team to changes
- Administer contrast media and medications per protocol
- Document procedures accurately in the medical record
- Follow radiation safety standards
- Assist with post-procedure care, including sheath removal and site management
Requirements
- RCIS certification (required); ARRT(R) acceptable
- BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred
- 2+ years of cath lab experience
- Scrub proficiency in cardiac and peripheral cases
- State licensure as applicable
- Active driver's license
Call Schedule
On-call coverage as needed, averaging 12 days per month (including at least one Friday overnight through Monday morning). Response time: 30 minutes. Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during the 17-week assignment.
What's Provided
Hospital-provided scrubs. Orientation typically 1–2 shifts based on experience level.
