Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for night shifts. You'll provide comprehensive the facility care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions on a monitored unit.
Shift & Contract Details
- Schedule: 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Duration: 18-week contract
- Location: Mayfield Heights, OH
- Start Date: September 11, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips as applicable
- Provide pre- and post-operative care, including wound management and pain control
- Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (cardiac, respiratory, diabetes)
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
- Document assessments and interventions accurately
- Manage a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Ohio or compact state); must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 18 months permanent experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry
- BLS and ACLS certification (active and current)
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
- One professional reference (manager, ANM, or supervisor) from the past 12 months required
Additional Requirements
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation
- Background check and BCI/FBI clearance completed within 48 hours of contract signing
