Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Location: Asheville, NC
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 36 hours/week with varying weekends (minimum 4 per 6-week cycle)
About the Role
The facility's Respiratory Services department is seeking a registered respiratory therapist (RRT) for the night shift. You'll provide care across multiple service lines, including adult critical care, neonatal intensive care, and pediatric units. This is a fast-paced environment where you'll manage a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical ventilation, non-invasive respiratory support, and oxygen delivery for adult and pediatric patients
- Perform airway management, suctioning, and patient assessment
- Collaborate with nursing and physician teams in critical care units across the facility
- Document care and communicate patient status via the facility's electronic health record
Requirements
- North Carolina Respiratory License
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Note: CRTs will not be considered; RRTs only
Preferred
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Floating
You'll float across all critical care units and floors as needed.

Medium gray/pewter scrubs
