Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract
Corpus Christi, TX | Days | 13-Week Contract
Join a busy Emergency Department in Corpus Christi managing patients across the full acuity spectrum, with a strong focus on timely care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma presentations. The unit serves low-to-moderate acuity patients (ESI 4 & 5) with the capacity to care up to ESI 1, making clinical versatility essential.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Mandatory shift huddles at 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM (unless providing critical patient care)
- EMTALA training required
Clinical Scope
- , patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV placement, lab draws, and urine collection
- Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on care planning and patient throughput
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Active RN license (Texas or applicable compact)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- TNCC, ENPC, or PALS required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Prior Level II or Level III trauma experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- CEN or TCRN certification
- CPI certification
