Registered Nurse

Emergency Room RN – Travel Contract | Corpus Christi, TX

Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract

This night shift opportunity places you in a fast-paced emergency department in Corpus Christi, TX, caring for patients across the full acuity spectrum — from low-acuity ESI 4/5 presentations to complex, high-acuity emergencies including stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma activations. The department is an active and growing trauma environment with strong interdisciplinary teamwork.

Schedule & Structure

• 12-hour night shifts; 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Mandatory shift huddle at 7:00 PM (unless providing critical care)
• Staffing includes charge, , and bedside nursing roles each shift

Clinical Scope

• and patient assessment across all ESI levels (1–5)
• Medication administration, IV placement, wound care, splinting, lab draws, and urine collection
• Timely response to stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients
• Patient and family education; discharge planning

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• TNCC, ENPC, or PALS (at least one trauma/pediatric cert) required
• Level II or Level III trauma experience required
• Minimum 2+ years of ED experience strongly preferred
• EMTALA training required upon start

Preferred Qualifications

• CEN or TCRN certification
• CPI certification

Dress Code

• Royal Blue scrubs preferred
• Sunday team jerseys welcome
