Position Overview

The facility is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team. This 13-week contract position offers Monday–Friday schedule with flexible daily start times (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM window), as long as you maintain consistency and communicate with the director of rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and screen patients with cognitive and/or ADL/physical functioning disorders; develop individualized plans of care using standardized, evidence-based assessments
• Deliver skilled rehabilitative interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modality use, and adaptive equipment training
• Monitor patient progress, modify treatments as needed, and document outcomes in the electronic health record
• Counsel and educate patients, families, and caregivers on functional recovery and home safety strategies
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and the interdisciplinary team during patient care conferences and care planning
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants, aides, and students as appropriate
• Maintain accurate treatment documentation and regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
• NBCOT certification
• Current Missouri OT license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation setting experience required
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
