Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Med/Surg Telemetry RN for its night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is an 18-week contract in Warrensville Heights, OH.
Shift Details
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Ongoing telemetry monitoring required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
- Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
- Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge coordination
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are followed
- Typical patient assignment: 4–6 patients per shift (acuity-dependent)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Ohio permanent or compact state license in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 18 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (active and current)
- EKG/telemetry interpretation competency
- One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from the past 12 months required
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

- ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessment during orientation
