Radiologic Technology – Dual Modality (X-Ray & CT)

Location: Alturas, CA

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: December 7, 2026

Schedule: 8-hour rotating shifts, primarily 3:30 PM–12:00 AM (may vary to 3:30 PM–9:00 PM). Call duties shared on a rotation basis across the radiology team, weekdays and weekends.

About the Role:

The facility's radiology department seeks an experienced dual-modality technologist to support CT, X-ray (including fluoroscopy), portable imaging, and emergency department coverage. You'll perform imaging exams per physician orders, prepare and administer contrast media, and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Patient screening for contraindications—allergies, renal function, pregnancy—is integral to safe practice. You'll operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensure ALARA radiation safety protocols, accurately document exams in departmental systems, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver diagnostic-quality imaging.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) — both required
• State radiologic technology license (as applicable)
• BLS certification
• 5+ years clinical experience
• IV certification and venipuncture skills
• CRT in fluoroscopy preferred

Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work flexibly across multiple modalities.
