PHARMACIST – NIGHT SHIFT

Shift: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (4 x 10 nights)

Contract: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility's pharmacy department is seeking an experienced pharmacist for the night shift. You'll be the primary pharmacist on the night team, working alongside pharmacy technicians to ensure safe, accurate medication dispensing and clinical pharmacy services across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medication orders for accuracy and safety
• Provide clinical pharmacy support, including dosing recommendations and drug interaction screening
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Counsel patients on medications, side effects, and adherence
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams on medication management
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Participate in medication reconciliation and transitions of care
• Monitor for adverse drug reactions and maintain controlled substance records
• Support pharmacy quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited program
• Current state pharmacist license
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience (hospital pharmacy experience preferred)
• Familiarity with pharmacy information systems and clinical decision support tools
• Sterile compounding certification preferred
