Intermediate Care (IMC) – RN
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Days)

About the Role
Join the intermediate care unit at the facility, where you'll provide skilled nursing care to patients with a diverse mix of diagnoses and acuity levels. This unit specializes in managing respiratory conditions, sepsis, and patients with multiple co-morbidities. You'll work independently while demonstrating awareness of complex clinical situations, providing both routine and complex care while focusing on long-range patient goals and plans.
Your Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process
- Administer medications and treatments; monitor for effectiveness and side effects
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Educate patients and families; identify learning needs and appropriate resources
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other caregivers as needed
- Maintain competency and participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Current RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred)
- Current BLS certification (AHA) – required
- Current ACLS certification (AHA) – required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Onboarding
New hires will be precepted by a trained staff member and must complete organizational competency validation and unit-specific training within the first 30 days.
