Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) | Nights | Longview, TX

This 13-week night shift contract places you in an Intermediate Medical Care unit managing a diverse patient population with moderate-to-high acuity. The unit sees a wide variety of neurological, respiratory, cardiac, and GI cases, with nurses regularly managing up to three simultaneous drips and supporting patients on BiPAP therapy.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Start date: August 31, 2026
• 13-week contract

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• General IMC patients across neuro, respiratory, cardiac, and GI specialties
• Titration of multiple vasoactive/continuous IV drips
• Non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP) management
• Assessment, care planning, medication administration, and documentation per the nursing process

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable clinical setting (IMC or similar)
• BLS certification — American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification — American Heart Association only
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation (experience with a major hospital EHR system highly recommended)
