Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) | Nights | Longview, TX
This 13-week night shift contract places you in an Intermediate Medical Care unit managing a diverse patient population with moderate-to-high acuity. The unit sees a wide variety of neurological, respiratory, cardiac, and GI cases, with nurses regularly managing up to three simultaneous drips and supporting patients on BiPAP therapy.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Start date: August 31, 2026
- 13-week contract
Patient Population & Clinical Scope
- General IMC patients across neuro, respiratory, cardiac, and GI specialties
- Titration of multiple vasoactive/continuous IV drips
- Non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP) management
- Assessment, care planning, medication administration, and documentation per the nursing process
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable clinical setting (IMC or similar)
- BLS certification — American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification — American Heart Association only
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation (experience with a major hospital EHR system highly recommended)
