Echo Technologist – 12-Week Contract
Location: Atlanta, GA
Shift: Day, 5×8 hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Schedule: Every other weekend
Call: None
Contract Duration: 12 weeks
About the Role
Join a high-volume structural echocardiography lab serving inpatient, ICU, and outpatient populations. You'll perform comprehensive transthoracic echos (TTE), transesophageal echos (TEE), stress echos, and advanced imaging with contrast agents, 3D capability, and strain analysis. The lab specializes in structural procedures including TAVRs, mitral clips, MVRs, TVRs, and ASD closures. You'll also support the region's organ recovery center and spine center with imaging as needed.
Sonographers enter preliminary reports and work closely with cardiologists in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years echocardiography experience (travel experience required)
- Certifications: BLS, ARDMS (or CCI RCS/RDCS equivalent)
- Skills: Adult acute care, emergency department, ICU, 2D/3D echo, bubble studies, color Doppler, contrast imaging, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo, TEE, Simpson's rule, diastology, LV strain/volume, PISA
- Licenses: Georgia or compact RN license required at submission
- Charge experience and trauma center or community hospital background preferred
- Left-handed scanner required for this position
Floating & Flexibility
Float within facility and scope of practice as needed. Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at the same rate (in-person interview required).
Compliance
All documentation must be finalized at time of submission. RTO (max 7 days) must be requested before offer. Full compliance required to start on schedule; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation.
