Location: Wichita, KS

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 4 × 12 nights

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week

Schedule: Every other weekend; no call required

Scrubs: Ceil blue

About the Role

The facility's Emergency Department sees high volumes of behavioral health patients alongside traditional emergency cases. You'll work in a fast-paced environment providing , assessment, and rapid nursing interventions for patients across a wide range of acuity levels.

Key Responsibilities

• and assess incoming patients; prioritize care based on acuity
• Provide emergency nursing care including medication administration, treatments, and interventions
• Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
• Manage behavioral health patients using de-escalation and safety protocols
• Monitor patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans
• Educate patients and families on discharge and follow-up instructions
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
• Maintain patient flow in a high-volume setting

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC or CEN preferred
• Minimum 1+ year emergency department experience
• Comfort with protocols and high-acuity environments
