Nights | 13-Week Contract | Start: September 13, 2026
This telemetry position supports a unit providing continuous cardiac monitoring and acute care nursing to patients with a range of cardiac and related conditions. The night shift role runs 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, with every-other-weekend rotation required.
Clinical Scope
- Continuous cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and arrhythmia identification
- Administration of cardiac drips and antiarrhythmics per physician orders
- Rapid response and code participation
- Collaboration with cardiologists and interdisciplinary care teams
- Patient and family education on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and discharge preparation
- Infection control and fall prevention protocol adherence
Schedule Details
- Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No 48-hour shifts required
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or applicable compact)
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care RN experience
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
- BLS and NIHSS certification required
- ADN or Nursing Diploma accepted; BSN preferred
- English proficiency (read, write, speak)
Preferred
- Prior telemetry-specific experience managing cardiac medications and monitoring cardiac rhythms
