Position Overview

The facility seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You'll develop individualized care plans using evidence-based practice, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions accordingly. This role includes patient and family counseling, collaboration with the care team, and comprehensive documentation.

Schedule & Contract

  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM (flexible start/end times with supervisor approval, provided you maintain consistency)
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • On-Call/Weekends: No weekends; if a holiday falls Monday–Friday, you may make up hours on the weekend
  • No call requirements

Requirements

  • Missouri State SLP License (required)
  • CCC-SLP Certification (required)
  • Minimum 1 year post-graduation SLP experience (new graduates welcome if you have completed a Level II clinical practicum—Level I observation alone does not qualify)
  • LTC or rehabilitation setting experience (required)
  • Active ASHA membership and adherence to ASHA Code of Conduct

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen and assess patients using standardized, evidence-based tools
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Document all services in the electronic health record per regulatory standards
  • Participate in patient care conferences and utilization reviews
  • Supervise and mentor student or CFY Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Obtain necessary supplies and equipment per clinical protocol
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and professional practice standards
