Occupational Therapist – Long-Term Care / Rehabilitation

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team. You'll evaluate and treat patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to maximize independence and quality of life.

Shift & Schedule

  • Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
  • 13-week contract
  • No on-call or weekend requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive functional assessments using standardized, evidence-based tools
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient progress
  • Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and adaptive equipment training
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home safety strategies
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and facility in-services
  • May supervise OT assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
  • NBCOT certification
  • Active Oklahoma OT license
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of OT experience (long-term care or rehabilitation preferred)
  • Experience with electronic documentation systems
