Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for night shifts. You'll provide direct care to laboring patients and their families, managing the full spectrum of labor and delivery nursing with clinical expertise and compassion.
Shift & Duration
- Night shift, 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 8-week contract
- Start: September 28, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio (or compact license as applicable)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- Associate degree in nursing minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ years of L&D experience required
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery; assess and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and uterine contractions
- Administer medications including labor induction/augmentation agents per physician orders
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide circulating support for cesarean sections
- Manage high-risk OB conditions (preeclampsia, hemorrhage, fetal distress) with appropriate interventions
- Provide immediate newborn care and resuscitation support
- Educate patients and families on labor progress and pain management options
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatal teams
- Document care accurately in the medical record
