Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse — Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for night shifts. You'll provide direct care to laboring patients and their families, managing the full spectrum of labor and delivery nursing with clinical expertise and compassion.

Shift & Duration

  • Night shift, 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • 8-week contract
  • Start: September 28, 2026

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Ohio (or compact license as applicable)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
  • Associate degree in nursing minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ years of L&D experience required

Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery; assess and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and uterine contractions
  • Administer medications including labor induction/augmentation agents per physician orders
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide circulating support for cesarean sections
  • Manage high-risk OB conditions (preeclampsia, hemorrhage, fetal distress) with appropriate interventions
  • Provide immediate newborn care and resuscitation support
  • Educate patients and families on labor progress and pain management options
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatal teams
  • Document care accurately in the medical record
