Cardiac Catheterization Lab / Interventional Radiology Tech — Travel Contract
Toledo, OH | 13 Weeks | Days, 4×10 (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
This 13-week travel assignment is based in an active Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology lab serving an adult and geriatric patient population. The lab handles a full range of diagnostic and interventional cases with a daily census of 25–30 across seven procedure rooms.
Clinical Scope
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization (left and right heart)
- Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), stent placement, angioplasty
- Structural heart procedures and chronic total occlusions (CTOs)
- Neuro and vascular cases including carotid stenting and upper/lower extremity angiography
- IR procedures: paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements
- IABP and Impella support
- Candidates must be STEMI-ready
Clinicians with EP experience may be floated to the Electrophysiology lab when Cath/IR volume is low.
Schedule & Call
- 4×10-hour day shifts
- One weekday on-call shift per week
- Every fifth weekend on-call (Friday 6:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
- Holiday call applies when contract spans summer or winter holidays
Required Credentials
- ARRT (must be in hand at time of submittal — hard requirement)
- BLS and ACLS
- Ohio license required (pending accepted); Michigan license must be in hand
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a STEMI/PCI facility
- IABP and Impella training required
Additional Details
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- 8-hour orientation
- No local candidates within 50 miles accepted
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ohio fingerprinting is not required for this specialty
