Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract | Stockbridge, GA

Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3×12-hour shifts

Contract Duration: 8 weeks | Start Date: September 14, 2026

About the Unit

This Labor & Delivery unit provides care for laboring patients across a range of acuity levels, including high-risk OB conditions such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, and fetal distress. The unit offers interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response, and social services.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor; assess and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and uterine contractions
• Administer medications including labor induction/augmentation agents and epidural support
• Assist with vaginal deliveries; circulate for cesarean sections
• Manage obstetric emergencies with appropriate interventions
• Provide immediate newborn care and resuscitation support
• Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams
• Educate patients and families on labor progress and pain management options

Schedule Details

• Every other weekend required
• Call: one 12-hour shift per schedule
• Floating within facility per scope of practice as needed
• Holiday coverage required (see standard holiday policy)
• Max RTO: 7 days per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Active Georgia RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• Ability to circulate for C-sections required

Compliance: All onboarding documents due the Tuesday prior to start. Core items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
