Cardiac Cath Lab RN – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join the interventional cardiology team. You'll provide direct patient care and nursing support in a dynamic cath lab environment handling diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 × 10-hour day shifts per week (40 hrs/week)
• 13-week contract
• Available start dates: Every Monday
• Navy blue scrubs required
• On-call coverage expected for emergent cases

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• Minimum 2 years cardiac cath lab experience
• CTO (chronic total occlusion) experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications current
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status during diagnostic angiograms, PCI/stent placements, and device implants
• Administer medications, sedation, and contrast media per protocol
• Circulate and assist physicians during procedures
• Manage vascular access sites and hemostasis
• Provide pre-procedure education and post-procedure recovery care
• Respond to emergent complications (arrhythmias, hemorrhage, vasovagal reactions)
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists and cath lab technologists
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record
