Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Aurora, CO

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

About the Role

Join the telemetry unit at the facility as a travel RN providing continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care. You'll work with a large cardiac patient population, managing rhythm interpretation, cardiac medications, and rapid response situations. The unit emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify arrhythmias; escalate care as needed
  • Administer cardiac medications including drips and antiarrhythmics per physician orders
  • Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team on care plans
  • Respond to rapid response and code interventions
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
  • Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
  • Float to other medical/telemetry and rehabilitation units as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license (state or compact as applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS certification (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care telemetry hospital experience
  • Demonstrated competency in telemetry and EKG interpretation
  • Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong telemetry background
  • Chemotherapy certification (opportunity to work oncology units)
  • BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
