Emergency Room RN — Travel Contract | Overland Park, KS
13-Week Contract | 4 x 12 Nights | Start Date: June 22, 2026
This is a mid-shift evening/overnight position in a fast-paced Emergency Department in Overland Park, KS. Shift times rotate but fall within a window of approximately 10:00 AM–1:00 AM, with some shifts running as late as 1:00 PM–1:30 AM. Every third weekend is required. Floating is rare and only occurs after core staff have been flexed home. 48-hour guarantee is available as an option.
Clinical Scope
You'll provide care across a high-acuity emergency setting managing trauma activations, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and the full range of emergent and urgent presentations. Responsibilities include , rapid assessment, medication administration, resuscitation, and patient throughput management. Unit secretarial support is available 21 hours per day.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency/trauma setting
- Active Kansas RN license (or applicable compact license)
- BLS, ACLS required; ENPC or PALS required; TNCC required; NIHSS required
- CEN or TCRN preferred; CPI preferred
- BSN preferred; ADN considered per facility policy
- Strong knowledge of protocols, trauma care, stroke and STEMI response

- Dress code: Cobalt blue solid top; black or cobalt blue solid pants; closed-toe shoes
