Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Salinas, CA
Shift: 4 x 10-hour days
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
The facility's Interventional Radiology department performs a broad range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures including angiograms, embolizations, drain placements, stent placements, and biopsies. You'll work alongside interventional radiologists in a fast-paced, procedurally driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and supplies for IR procedures
- Operate fluoroscopy and angiography equipment during procedures
- Administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status; alert the team to changes
- Assist with pre- and post-procedure patient care and site management
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA protocols
- Document procedures and patient data accurately
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R); Vascular-Interventional (VI) or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CI) certification required
- State radiologic technology license (California)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years IR or Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Ability to scrub and circulate sterile procedures
Schedule & Call
- Call: 1 night per week + every other weekend (limited volume)
- Must live within 30 minutes of the facility
- Orientation: Mondays only
- Guaranteed 40 hours/week
Additional Notes
Experience with pacemaker implantation and endovascular trauma procedures is highly preferred. Professional scrubs provided or wear any color; no facility logos. Department closed on major holidays.
