RN – Telemetry (Float Pool)
Location: Colorado Springs area
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
Schedule: 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle
Contract: 13 weeks

About the Role
You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care across multiple units in a dynamic float pool environment. You'll interpret rhythms, manage cardiac medications including drips, respond to patient deterioration, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support safe, evidence-based care.
Scope
This float role covers General Medical-Telemetry, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, ED Observation, and ICU (low-acuity holds). You'll care for adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac, post-surgical, neuro, oncology, renal/urology, general medicine, psych/detox, and stable long-term placements. Patient ratios are 1:5–6 based on acuity. Nurse aides and respiratory support (vents, CPAP, BiPap) are available.
Key Expectations
- Flexibility: You'll float across five facilities within a 60-mile radius around Colorado Springs. Schedules are released 4–6 weeks in advance; some weeks feature a single facility assignment, others use just-in-time (JIT) scheduling with 1–2 hours' notice.
- Commitment: Must submit a 2-week notice to avoid back-out penalties. Cannot miss more than 3 shifts in the 13-week contract.
- Orientation: Plan to be in-state for the orientation week.
- Rare on-call: Low-census call may be requested.
Requirements
- Current RN license (compact acceptable)
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
- Prior neuro experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- EKG interpretation and cardiac medication management competency
Guaranteed 36 hours/week.
