Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

About the Role

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and other conditions requiring close observation.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously; interpret EKGs and identify arrhythmias, escalating care as needed
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team on the plan of care
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Manage patient load per facility acuity and staffing guidelines
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma minimum
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• 1+ years of telemetry experience
• 2+ years of acute care RN experience
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm monitoring and cardiac medication management

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
