Registered Nurse

Medical-Surgical RN — Travel Contract | Morgantown, WV

Shift: Nights, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekdays and weekends

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: September 14, 2026 | Extension possible

This acute care medical-surgical unit manages adult patients across a broad range of diagnoses and acuity levels. The team emphasizes adaptability, evidence-based practice, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration, with support from IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response, physical therapy, and social services.

Clinical Scope includes:

• CVA, post-MI, renal failure, substance withdrawal, TBI, and spinal cord injury management
• Tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and non-invasive airway management
• Pre/post hemodialysis, pre/post neurosurgery, and total joint replacement care
• IV insulin protocols, heparin administration, and blood product administration
• Wound care/wound VAC, PICC line management, chest tube care, and colostomy/ileostomy management
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management; ABG interpretation

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (BLS/ACLS must be AHA-issued)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility

• Blocked scheduling: The unit will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee them
• Attendance expectations are strictly enforced; no more than 2–3 call-offs per contract
