Registered Nurse

Emergency Room RN — Travel Contract | Hopewell, VA

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract | Start Date: August 3, 2026

This is a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) travel nursing opportunity in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving both adult and pediatric patients. The unit handles a broad range of emergent and urgent conditions, with procedures including cardioversion, central line placement, cardiac arrest management, Code Stroke and Code Sepsis protocols, pacemaker interrogation, EKGs, IV insertions, and suture/abscess setup.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Every other weekend required, plus at least one Friday and one Monday per four-week schedule
• No on-call required
• Float potential to a freestanding ED location approximately 15 minutes away

Required Certifications & Credentials

• Active RN license (Virginia or applicable compact)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI required
• TNCC preferred; trauma experience a strong plus

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ER experience
• Strong IV skills — adult and pediatric populations essential
• Experience with , high-acuity care, and rapid patient throughput
• CEN preferred
