CT Technologist – 13-Week Contract
Location: Gardner, MA
Shift: Flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays; first and second shift coverage; 10-hour shifts
About the Role
The facility seeks an experienced CT technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging. You'll operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues, interpret physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and position patients to capture diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging exams per physician orders with accurate positioning and optimal image quality
- Prepare and administer contrast media; monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Review patient history and screen for contraindications (allergies, renal function, pregnancy status)
- Operate CT equipment and troubleshoot technical issues
- Follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles
- Document exams accurately and maintain patient records in imaging systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure diagnostic quality
- Maintain a safe, clean environment; respond appropriately in emergencies
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and teamwork across all interactions
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Massachusetts Department of Public Health Radiologic License required
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) certification required within two years of hire
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year CT experience preferred
- IV certification/venipuncture skills often required
Physical Demands
Frequent reaching, handling, and positioning of patients and equipment. Occasional lifting of 20–50 pounds, bending, and stooping. Exposure to radiation requires strict adherence to safety protocols.

13 weeks | 40 guaranteed hours/week
