CT Technologist – Evening Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a CT Technologist for the evening shift (2:30 PM–2:30 AM) on a 13-week contract. This is a full-time role with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Role
You'll perform CT imaging exams across all examination types, working with physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic images. Your responsibilities include:
- Positioning patients and operating CT equipment to ensure accurate, high-quality imaging
- Preparing and administering contrast media, with careful monitoring for adverse reactions
- Reviewing patient history and screening for contraindications (allergies, renal function, pregnancy status)
- Maintaining equipment and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise
- Following radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles consistently
- Documenting exams accurately in the hospital's imaging systems
- Collaborating with radiologists and referring physicians on diagnostic quality
Requirements
- ARRT certification in CT (required)
- BLS certification (current)
- State radiologic technology license
- 1+ years of CT experience preferred
- IV certification/venipuncture skills often required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Unit Environment
The facility's imaging department is ACR certified and equipped with modern technology. You'll work alongside an experienced, collaborative team known for their positive attitude and supportive culture. Evening shift staffing includes three technologists and full tech support.
