Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical & OB

Location: Wray, CO

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour nights (12 shifts per 4-week block)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Position Overview

The facility seeks an RN to provide care across Medical-Surgical and Obstetrics units on the night shift. You will float between both areas, managing diverse patient populations with varying diagnoses and acuity levels. This role offers the opportunity to build strength in both acute medical-surgical nursing and OB care within a collaborative environment.

Schedule & Requirements

• No on-call requirement
• Weekends required; rotation is every third weekend
• Guaranteed hours throughout contract

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical and surgical conditions
• Assess, monitor, and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound management and pain control
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Coordinate discharge planning and interdisciplinary care
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and home care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control and safety protocols
• Typical patient load: 4–6 patients per shift (varies by acuity and unit)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and NRP certification required
• 1+ years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• ADN or BSN
• Ability to float between medical-surgical and obstetrics

Preferred

• ACLS certification
• CMSRN certification
