Location: Mound City, MO
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8-hour days
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (flexible start/end times with supervisor approval and consistent scheduling)
- No weekends (except if a holiday falls Monday–Friday; hours may be made up on weekends)
- No on-call
Role Overview
The facility seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting. You will develop individualized care plans using standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions, monitor patient progress, and modify treatment as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and create treatment plans
- Deliver direct patient care and document all services in the electronic health record
- Track treatment outcomes and adjust interventions accordingly
- Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during care conferences and rehabilitation meetings
- Prepare discharge summaries and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Supervise and mentor speech-language pathology students or clinical fellows as needed
- Participate in required in-services and trainings
Required Qualifications
- Missouri State License (active)
- CCC-SLP certification (current)
- Minimum 1 year SLP experience (new graduates with Level II clinical experience accepted)
- Long-term care or rehabilitation experience
- Active ASHA membership and adherence to ASHA Code of Conduct
Preferred
- 3+ years experience holding active CCS
