Cardiac Catheterization Lab RN – Days
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Lab RN to join the cath lab team on a 13-week contract. This is a day-shift role with on-call responsibilities, ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environment.
Schedule
- 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 4 days per week
- On-call: every 5th weekend and one weekday per week
- Float as needed to pre- and post-cardiac care units
Clinical Scope
You'll primarily scrub in the cath lab, managing patients undergoing diagnostic angiograms, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), stent placements, and device implants. Responsibilities include:
- Hemodynamic monitoring and vital sign assessment
- Medication and sedation administration
- Vascular access site management and hemostasis
- Pre- and post-procedure patient education and care
- Emergency response to arrhythmias, hemorrhage, and vasovagal reactions
- Collaboration with cardiologists, technologists, and the broader team
- Accurate EMR documentation
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BLS and ACLS certification (current)
- 1+ years cath lab experience required
- RCIS certification preferred
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- Ability to respond to emergent cases and on-call coverage
