Travel Respiratory Therapist – Covington, GA

Night Shift | 12-Week Contract

This respiratory therapy position requires versatility across multiple care settings, including the NICU, adult ICU, emergency department, and general floor therapy. Candidates must be comfortable managing a diverse patient population spanning neonates through geriatrics in high-acuity and acute care environments.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Self-scheduling model

Contract Details

• Duration: 12 weeks
• Start date: October 12, 2026
• Max PTO: 7 days per contract (must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO requests accepted post-offer or during orientation week)
• Holiday coverage expected based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, RRT

Clinical Skills Required

• Adult and NICU critical care
• Mechanical ventilation and weaning
• BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC management
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Intubation assist, extubation, bronchoscopy assist
• ABG interpretation, umbilical blood gases
• Aerosol and inhaled medication delivery (MDI, nebulizers, racemic epinephrine, mucomyst, and others)
• Emergency department respiratory support
• Basic EKG recognition

Minimum Requirements

• 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• CRTs will not be considered
• Georgia RRT license or Compact license required at time of submission

Floating within the facility and scope of practice should be expected. Full compliance onboarding must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with all documents due the Tuesday prior to the start date.
