Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for night shifts. You'll provide comprehensive care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions on a monitored unit.

Schedule & Duration

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Contract: 18 weeks
• Start Date: September 11, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams on plan of care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Manage a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are followed

Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio or valid compact license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months permanent Med-Surg Telemetry experience
• BLS and ACLS certification (active and in hand)
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
• One current professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from the past 12 months
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
