Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (flexible start/end times with supervisor approval)
About the Role
The facility is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders across their rehabilitation and long-term care services. You'll develop individualized care plans using standardized assessments and evidence-based practices, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans aligned with clinical and regulatory standards
- Provide direct patient care addressing speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive communication needs
- Document all services and progress in the electronic health record per regulatory requirements
- Consult with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
- Prepare discharge summaries and modify services based on patient outcomes
- May supervise clinical fellows or student clinicians
- Attend required facility trainings and in-services
Required Qualifications
- Missouri State SLP License (active)
- CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Minimum 1 year of post-graduate SLP experience (new graduates with Level II clinical experience considered)
- Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
- Adherence to ASHA Code of Ethics and state practice standards
Preferred
- 3+ years holding active CCS (Certificate of Clinical Specialty)
Schedule Notes
No weekend or on-call requirements (no weekend hours unless a holiday falls M–F, in which case hours can be made up the following weekend).
