About the Role

This includes patients transitioning out of intensive care and those at risk of clinical deterioration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications, including IV drips, per physician orders
  • Assess and manage patients transitioning from ICU or showing signs of decline
  • Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and the care team on treatment plans
  • Respond to rapid response and code interventions
  • Educate patients and families on their condition and recovery
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation
  • Manage a typical patient load of 3–4 patients per shift
  • Uphold infection control and fall prevention protocols

Requirements

  • Active RN license (state or compact)
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • 1+ years of PCU or step-down experience
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring and moderate-acuity patient care
  • BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
  • PCCN certification preferred

Additional Information

You will know your assignment location before each shift and may float within your specialty between nearby facilities as clinical need dictates. All time off must be requested upfront. Relocation is required; local travelers within a 50-mile radius are not considered for this role.
