Medical-Surgical RN | 13-Week Travel Contract

Location: Decatur, GA

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, managing a diverse adult patient population with varying diagnoses and acuity levels. Your responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive nursing assessment, monitoring, and intervention for medical and surgical patients
• Pre- and post-operative care, including wound management and pain control
• Medication administration and treatment per physician orders
• Care coordination for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory)
• Patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, case managers, and care teams
• Accurate EMR documentation and adherence to infection control and fall prevention protocols

Float Requirements

You may be assigned to work across two nearby facility locations within your specialty as needed (primarily the Decatur location). You will know your assignment before your shift begins.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia (or compact license)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical RN) preferred
• Minimum 1 year of med-surg nursing experience
• Ability to manage diverse patient caseloads
