Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Location: Decatur, GA

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: August 31, 2026

About the Role

The facility seeks an experienced Medical-Surgical RN to provide comprehensive care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses. You will assess and monitor patient conditions, administer medications and treatments, manage pre- and post-operative care, and coordinate discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team. Patient education and accurate documentation are key responsibilities.

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse) preferred
• Minimum 1+ years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Ability to manage diverse patient caseloads with varying acuity levels

Key Details

• You will handle border area patients within your specialty; if no patients are assigned, you will float between facilities as needed within a 15-mile radius (primary need is in Decatur)
• You will know your assignment before each shift
• All time off must be requested upfront
• No local travelers — relocation required within a 50-mile radius
