Medical-Surgical RN – Night Shift

Location: Decatur, GA

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 × 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week

Contract: 13 weeks

Start Date: August 31, 2026

About the Role

The facility is seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical-Surgical RN to join the team on night shift. You'll provide comprehensive care to adult patients with a diverse range of medical and surgical diagnoses, from acute conditions to chronic disease management including cardiac, respiratory, and diabetes care.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition with clinical judgment
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and support discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation and infection control/fall prevention protocols
• Manage a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift
• Float between assigned facilities as needed within your specialty to support patient care needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• ADN minimum; BSN preferred
• 1+ years of Med-Surg experience
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Ability to manage diverse patient acuity and diagnoses

What You Should Know

All time off must be requested upfront. You'll know your assignment location before each shift begins. This is a travel position requiring relocation; local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not considered.
