Cardiac ICU Nurse – Night Shift

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (every other weekend required)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility's Cardiac ICU cares for critically ill cardiac patients requiring intensive monitoring and hemodynamic support. You'll manage high-acuity cases including post-surgical patients, arrhythmia management, and cardiac transplant recipients.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor hemodynamic status and cardiac rhythm; interpret arrhythmias and intervene promptly
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips, cardiac medications, and transplant medications per protocol
• Manage advanced cardiac equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, hemodynamic monitors, and IABP
• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and the interdisciplinary team
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record
• May float to similar critical care units as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• 2+ years critical care or CCU experience
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Pediatric ICU experience preferred
• Familiarity with titratable drips, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac equipment
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

• 36 guaranteed hours per week
