Registered Dietitian – Acute Care

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5×8 hours)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: September 14, 2026

About the Role

The facility's inpatient acute care setting is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide direct nutritional care and support to adult patients across multiple units. You'll conduct nutrition assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, oversee enteral and parenteral nutrition, perform nutrition-focused physical exams, and educate patients on therapeutic diets. You'll coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, reconcile nutrition orders, and manage meal programs while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs and safety.

Requirements

• License: Active California RD/RDN credential (must be valid at time of submission; no pending or temporary licenses)
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Dietitian; healthcare food and nutrition service operations experience preferred
• Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR systems); strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Certifications: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• References: 2 supervisor-level references from within the past year required

Schedule & Expectations

• Every third weekend shift required; some holiday coverage as needed
• No scheduling requests accommodated; flexibility is essential
• No remote time off (RTO) during the first 2 weeks; maximum 2 weeks RTO for the contract
• 24 hours orientation
• No call requirements

First-time travelers welcome. Must be able to stand, walk, and work in a demanding clinical environment with exposure to infectious diseases and varying patient acuity.
