Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist
Location: Corona, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Call Coverage: Minimum 10 days per month; 60-mile radius availability required
About the Role
The facility's cardiac catheterization lab is seeking an experienced Radiologic or Cardiovascular Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You'll work alongside cardiologists and nursing staff in a fast-paced environment managing patients with acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmias, and structural heart disease.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, PCI/stent placement, and device implantation procedures
- Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment; ensure proper radiation safety protocols
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and supplies
- Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status; alert the team to critical changes
- Administer contrast media and medications per protocol
- Perform scrub, circulate, and/or monitor roles as assigned
- Document procedures and patient data accurately in the medical record
- Support post-procedure care, including sheath removal and site management
Required Qualifications
- Current California state RT license and ARRT certification
- BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology program
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT registration in interventional angiography/cardiac intervention preferred
