CT Technologist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a busy imaging department on the night shift. You'll perform a full range of CT procedures for emergency department and inpatient populations, working independently and collaborating with radiologists to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 12-hour nights, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly
- Holiday Requirements: You must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years CT imaging experience
- ARRT certification in CT (required)
- BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- State radiologic technology license (as applicable)
- IV certification/venipuncture skills preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all CT imaging exams per physician orders with accurate positioning and image quality
- Prepare and administer contrast media; monitor for adverse reactions
- Screen patient history for contraindications (allergies, renal function, pregnancy)
- Maintain equipment and troubleshoot technical issues
- Follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
- Document exams accurately in RIS/PACS systems
- Support both ED and inpatient imaging needs in a high-volume setting
